I had a great experience at Big Man Trailers in Carrum Downs a few weeks ago. The staff were friendly and efficient and had my 7x5 trailer with 900mm cage, spare tyre and registration ready to roll in about 30 minutes which completely put to shame the folks at Pakenham. My trailer is exactly as I wanted and a quality item which will last me many years. The staff at Carrum Downs have a “can do” attitude which isn’t easy to find these days. I can thoroughly recommend big Man Trailers at Carrum Downs.

I Have sent multiple messages via text an email for no response, I was trying to do the right thing so I could give a nicer review but unfortunately I have been ignored, The trailer is a flimsy badly made trailer, I would not recommend, hinges on cage gates flimsy and bend out of shape quite easily , the trailer floor base warped, welds are terrible, starting to rust in some areas and I’ve only had it 4 weeks, reflectors falling off just stuck on like they are out of a show bag. Everything about this trailer is horribly cheap, would strongly recommend not purchasing this product.
Sorry .. Big Man Trailers do not pass the pub test. I picked up my trailer yesterday … and it was quite obvious Hansen was not interested in devoting anytime for “inspection and testing and a “walk through”. Alarm bells! Worse still .. my Van had a low tow ball hitch config .. so when the new trailer (tandem) was hooked up .. the rear 2 wheels of the trailer were up in the air! No problem for Hansen though .. just move on. Standing my ground .. worked with the staff to reconfigure the tow hitch to rectify the problem (took all of 10 minutes). Sooo disappointing. Also .. no interest in explaining the trailer brake application, hitch connection or ANYTHING. Only got the info by insisting on a brief. Bottom line .. I don’t have confidence in this product. Even noticed the cage galvanising coating is just flaking off. Oh well. Fingers crossed it lasts. To conclude, not confident in the long term viability of this product … also to be fair .. it would be remiss if I didn’t at least acknowledge the 2 staff who did work with me to reconfigure the tow hitch and explain the basic functions of the trailer.
Good follow-up and keen to please with any issues. Hansen works hard to keep customers happy.

I'm very happy with my 7'x5' galvanised tilt cage trailer with ramp from The Big Man Trailer Company. I did plenty of research prior to my purchase, and their trailers meet my use requirements. The trailer looks great and does everything that I need of it. Staff were efficient, and presented my custom order nicely. Bonus spare wheel and coupling lock provided for EOFY sale. Due to having rear ramp fitted the trailer at time if collection, I discovered the trailer was missing 2 split pins to hold the rear cage door on when I swapped the ramp for the standard tailgate and cage door (small oversight). I would recommend a Big Man Trailer to anyone wanting a good trailer at a budget price.

Purchased a 7x4 Cage tipper trailer from Hansen and the team in Lilydale. The pickup experience was very smooth and the trailer looks great and is very sturdy, will definitely suit my needs for years to come. Bigman offer a 2 year warranty which is better than most others I researched and the jockey wheel was included too rather than being an optional extra.

I bought an 8x5 trailer single axle trailer today and unfortunately is has significant distortion in the base of the trailer. When I called them, it’s apparently from the galvanization process and normal. I’m no expert in hot dipping, but I feel like this isn’t great for a brand new trailer. Maybe I’m just a novice for this whole thing.
Found the company online and requested a quote for a 7x5 galvanised trailer - as I did with 3 other companies.David was the quickest to respond and the best price.Visited on Sat 30/9 and found the trailers exactly as described so ordered one - with spare wheel and toolbox to be added. Offered to have it ready Monday but following Saturday was fine for me.Pickup was great - everything had obviously been checked before but David went over it all again and made sure it hitched up to our vehicle properly.No fuss service in the best possible way - everything that needed to be done just was.The trailer has only been on light duties so far but nothing to suggest it will let us down as the workload increases. And the structural warranty offered is better than others.
David and his team were very helpful when I picked up my trailer. Had a couple of issues which were dealt with very promptly. Would highly recommend.
Went and inspected quality last weekend as I was looking for a heavy duty tipper to upgrade from another manufacturer. I found the quality to be outstanding value for money. I considered for a couple of days and decided to go ahead with purchase. I ordered 10x 5 tipper on Wednesday and picked it up Saturday. Friendly and professional service that went smooth. I would certainly recommend!
