I had a great experience at Big Man Trailers in Carrum Downs a few weeks ago. The staff were friendly and efficient and had my 7x5 trailer with 900mm cage, spare tyre and registration ready to roll in about 30 minutes which completely put to shame the folks at Pakenham. My trailer is exactly as I wanted and a quality item which will last me many years. The staff at Carrum Downs have a “can do” attitude which isn’t easy to find these days. I can thoroughly recommend big Man Trailers at Carrum Downs.

Very helpful and friendly service and support. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a really well-made trailer. I am very happy with my initial purchase. A later purchase of a trailer ramp was also very smooth and I am more than happy. The ramp is of excellent quality, very sturdy and the company were really helpful. They even interrupted their busy day when they didn't really have time to fit me in for installation of the ramp and furthermore they installed it for me for free. I am so delighted and I would recommend this company and its great products to anyone.

I Have sent multiple messages via text an email for no response, I was trying to do the right thing so I could give a nicer review but unfortunately I have been ignored, The trailer is a flimsy badly made trailer, I would not recommend, hinges on cage gates flimsy and bend out of shape quite easily , the trailer floor base warped, welds are terrible, starting to rust in some areas and I’ve only had it 4 weeks, reflectors falling off just stuck on like they are out of a show bag. Everything about this trailer is horribly cheap, would strongly recommend not purchasing this product.

Sorry .. Big Man Trailers do not pass the pub test. I picked up my trailer yesterday … and it was quite obvious Hansen was not interested in devoting anytime for “inspection and testing and a “walk through”. Alarm bells! Worse still .. my Van had a low tow ball hitch config .. so when the new trailer (tandem) was hooked up .. the rear 2 wheels of the trailer were up in the air! No problem for Hansen though .. just move on. Standing my ground .. worked with the staff to reconfigure the tow hitch to rectify the problem (took all of 10 minutes). Sooo disappointing. Also .. no interest in explaining the trailer brake application, hitch connection or ANYTHING. Only got the info by insisting on a brief. Bottom line .. I don’t have confidence in this product. Even noticed the cage galvanising coating is just flaking off. Oh well. Fingers crossed it lasts. To conclude, not confident in the long term viability of this product … also to be fair .. it would be remiss if I didn’t at least acknowledge the 2 staff who did work with me to reconfigure the tow hitch and explain the basic functions of the trailer.

I'm very happy with my 7'x5' galvanised tilt cage trailer with ramp from The Big Man Trailer Company. I did plenty of research prior to my purchase, and their trailers meet my use requirements. The trailer looks great and does everything that I need of it. Staff were efficient, and presented my custom order nicely. Bonus spare wheel and coupling lock provided for EOFY sale. Due to having rear ramp fitted the trailer at time if collection, I discovered the trailer was missing 2 split pins to hold the rear cage door on when I swapped the ramp for the standard tailgate and cage door (small oversight). I would recommend a Big Man Trailer to anyone wanting a good trailer at a budget price.
