Tradesman Trailers

A good tradesman can’t do much without their tools, and unless you’ve got a safe, secure place to store them, those tools won’t stick around for long. At Big Man Trailer Co, we have developed a range of versatile single and double-axle tradesman trailers that can be used to haul materials and are trusted to keep your tools safe and protected from the elements.

We understand that you need a trailer you can rely on, which is why our tradesman trailers are built to last. Constructed on top of a heavy-duty hot-dipped galvanised steel chassis, our tradesman trailers feature an aluminium canopy in either an A-frame or box configuration, with the choice of two-way or three-way doors for easy access.

A tie-down bar runs along either side of the trailer, while up top, you will find dual ladder racks weight-rated to 100kg – perfect for oversized equipment or materials that don’t fit inside. Available in sizes ranging from 8x5ft to 10x6ft, our tradesman trailers are perfect for solo tradesmen or large teams that need to take their tools with them.

Tradesman Trailer FAQs

Tradesman trailers are used to securely store and transport tools and materials, and are popular with builders, plumbers, electricians, and other trades.
Tradesman trailers should be loaded with the heaviest items at the bottom of the trailer and positioned in front of the axles, towards the drawbar, so that their weight is being carried by the tow ball.
Because they are constructed from hot-dipped galvanised steel and durable, marine-grade 5052 checker plate, Big Man tradesman trailers require little upkeep to remain in good condition. However, if you want to prolong your trailer's lifespan, make sure to clean out the hinges and seals from time to time so that dust and debris don't build up and weaken them.
Tradesman trailers provide a secure and convenient way to transport and store your tools and materials. The lightweight aluminium canopy provides a lockable space for tools and equipment that protects them from water, dust and would-be thieves, while the rooftop ladder racks are a great space to store ladders or timber.
All of our tradesman trailers measure 8x5 and are available in either single or tandem-axle configurations.
Depending on if the trailer is a single axle trailer or a tandem axle trailer, carrying capacity varies from 500kg to 2000kg.
