Our lawn mowing tipper trailer is built on the same one-piece chassis found underneath our hydraulic tipper trailers. From there, we’ve upgraded the standard cage setup to dedicated toolboxes, giving your crew somewhere to lock away smaller gear and fuel. The whole body is hot-dip galvanised to keep it working for longer, holding up against the elements, wet grass, and fertiliser. All our lawn mower trailers ride on 15-inch light truck tyres, and 450mm high side walls keep your green waste on board until you’re ready to tip it.

Lawn Mower Trailer FAQs
To engage the function of a Big Man lawn mower trailer’s hydraulic component, you don’t need to have your tow vehicle turned on. We build every lawn mower trailer with its own 12V hydraulic power pack and remote control, so the tipper draws power from its own battery, not your engine. This means you’re free to turn off your town vehicle, walk away, and hit the remote when you’re ready to empty a load, giving you one less thing to think about.
To calculate how much your Big Man lawn mower trailer can hold, simply take the trailer’s ATM, which is the most it can legally weigh when loaded, and subtract its tare, which is its empty weight. What’s left is your payload. On our 8×5 lawn mowing tipper, that works out to around 2,200kg. That’s plenty for a ride-on and a full day of clippings, but remember to count your fuel and toolbox storage weights as well.
The aluminium ramps on our 8×5 lawn mowing tipper trailer can hold up to 1.8 tonnes, and most ride-on mowers weigh well under half that. If you drive the mower up rather than pushing it, add your own weight to the total and deduct it from 1.8 tonnes to calculate the total weight.
On our 8×5 lawn mowing tipper trailer, the enclosed mower box sits on a 763mm section of the front deck and has 1,435mm of internal height, which is enough to stand a push mower upright. When you’re comparing trailers, measure your mower with the handle up and check it against the box’s internal dimensions, not the external ones.
